Tuesday February 23, 2010 at 1641 hours, Chief 6A (Montgomery), Chief 6C (Morris), Engine 62 (Clark) and Tanker 6 (Lt Buckler) were alerted for the chimney fire at 4130 Ferry Landing Road. Units from the Dunkirk VFD arrived on location of a 2-story wood "balloon" frame house with smoke showing. Upon entry, units found a room on fire on the 2nd floor with considerable extension behind the walls due to the deteroriating chimney, which was quickly extinguished. Engine 62 arrived, ran a back-up line and assisted with opening up. Units from the Huntingtown VFD operated until 1738 hours.
