Tuesday March 9, 2010 at 1345 hours, Chief 6 (Riffe), Chief 6B (Thrasher), Engine 62 (Bingham), Tanker 6 (Stewart), Utility 6 (S/O McKenny) and Ambulance 68 (Morgan) with 25 Volunteers were alerted for the house fire (622 box). Units from Company 6 arrived with smoke showing from a 1 1/2 wood-frame residence. Engine 62 arrived and stretched the 150' front bumper line making work of the fire found in the living room, hallway, foyer, and stairway to the attic. The crew quickly knocked down all fire and began checking for extension. Prince Frederick Engine 21 arrived and stretched a line to the 2nd floor with negative results. The crew from Dunkirk Squad 5 arrived on location and assisted with opening up and overhaul. Within minutes the Box was held to Company 6 and Squad 5. Units operated until 1454 hours.
