Big congratulations to Sophia Hale, a dedicated Cadet at the Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department, for earning the Silver Medal at the 52nd Annual Maryland State SkillsUSA Competition this March! Competing in the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) category, Sophia showcased her skills and determination through three challenging scenarios and a written exam, ultimately securing an impressive second-place finish. Her passion for helping others and interest in a future career in the medical field is what brought her to our department — and we couldn’t be prouder of her incredible achievement!
