On 7/27, at 1843 hours Company 6 and 2 (Prince Frederick) were alerted for a motor vehicle accident at 4125 Solomons Island Road in front of Huntingtown High School. The accident was reported as serious.
Chief 6C (Squad 6) went on the scene reporting one trapped and to start a helicopter to transport the patient to a trauma center. The median guardrail had gone through the engine and passenger compartments.
Chief 6A established command as crews from Squad 6 and Engine 62 worked to remove the doors, roof, and brake pedal to free the driver while the EMS crew from Ambulance 68 treated the patient. Engine 61 handled the landing site for Trooper 2.
