At 1311 hours, the Huntingtown Volunteers, and surrounding departments responded to the 2300 block of Stella Drive for the house fire.
Chief 6 (M Clark) arrived to find smoke showing. Upon the completion of a 360 degree report, fire conditions were found present in the basement. Engine 62 (Wilson) advanced an attack line to the delta side to extinguish the fire in the basement.
Tower 1 worked with E62 in the basement. E12, SQ6 and E51 operated on division 1. The incident was quickly scaled back to Companies 6,1, Engine 5, Squad 2 and Tanker 7.
The Maryland State Office of the Fire Marshall is handling the investigation.
